On August 2nd, 2023, the Don Bosco Tech Society in Jalandhar organized an insightful field visit for their Ecommerce Executive trainees. Spearheaded by Mr. Robin, this educational excursion took the students to "Kissan Hut," a bustling grocery mall owned by Rashpal Singh in Nakodar.

The primary goal of this visit was to provide the trainees with a hands-on experience in the practical aspects of sales and purchasing. Upon arrival, the students were immediately impressed by the store's well-designed infrastructure and the strategic placement of products, which created an inviting and visually appealing shopping environment.

The trainees closely observed Rashpal Singh's exceptional customer service techniques. His approach was so engaging that customers were naturally inclined to make a purchase before leaving the store. The students noted that the clever arrangement of products played a significant role in captivating customers’ attention. They also learned about the importance of strategic product placement and the power of in-store promotions and fixed pricing, which left little room for bargaining and maximized sales.

An essential takeaway from the visit was understanding how to convert casual visitors into buyers. The students saw firsthand how effective communication and personalized attention can transform a reluctant customer into a satisfied buyer, ultimately boosting the store's profitability.

During their tour of the grocery store, the trainees were also enticed by the mall's employees to purchase some stationery and snacks, illustrating the subtle art of upselling.
