On September 23rd, the Don Bosco Tech Jalandhar center held its first-ever placement orientation session for Customer Care Executive trainees, an event that proved to be both insightful and empowering. The session was led by Mrs. Manpreet Kaur, the cluster coordinator for Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, who captivated the audience with her expertise and engaging approach.

Mrs. Manpreet Kaur opened the session by introducing the trainees to the scope and relevance of the domain they had enrolled in. She went beyond the basics, guiding students on how to prepare not only for job opportunities but for life itself—emphasizing the importance of becoming well-rounded individuals. Her advice went deeper into interview preparation, shedding light on common challenges and how to overcome them with confidence and clarity. This practical guidance was especially valuable for the trainees, many of whom were new to the professional world.

Recognizing the significance of the interview as the first impression of a prospective employee, Mrs. Manpreet encouraged trainees to focus intently on developing their interviewing skills. She shared proven tips and techniques that would help them excel in their careers, and also addressed an area she noticed needed attention—building self-confidence. To address this, she encouraged trainees to actively participate in role-playing exercises assigned by their trainers, which would help them discover their strengths and work on their weaknesses.

The session then evolved into a deeper conversation on key workplace issues such as handling rejection, sexual harassment awareness, gender equality, team dynamics, adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Mrs. Kaur’s ability to blend these essential life skills with professional growth strategies made the session engaging and thought-provoking.

The enthusiastic response from the students reflected the value they found in Mrs. Manpreet's words, as they walked away not only with newfound knowledge but also a sense of empowerment and readiness to step confidently into the professional world. This session bridged the gap between theory and practice, giving trainees the tools and mindset needed for success in their future careers.
