On July 29, 2023, the Don Bosco Tech Society in Jalandhar hosted an enlightening guest lecture aimed at creating awareness about the domain of E-commerce among its trainees. The session was graced by Mr. Kamaljeet Singh, a seasoned Senior Sales Manager at "Bawa Collection," a prominent garments store in Nakodar, where he has been serving diligently for the past five years.

Mr. Kamaljeet commenced the lecture by engaging the students with a thought-provoking question about the meanings of the terms "E" and "Commerce." Although a few students attempted to answer, he gently corrected them and provided a clear and concise explanation. He elucidated that "E" stands for electronic, which is fundamentally based on external power sources. He then differentiated between the terms commerce, trade, and business, emphasizing that commerce involves the exchange of goods, services, and money, and is distinct from trade or business.

Delving deeper into the subject, Mr. Kamaljeet shared his vast knowledge of the marketing sector, explaining that E-commerce is essentially the online exchange of products, services, and finance. To make this concept more relatable, he used Amazon as a prime example, illustrating how it operates on a sale and purchase system where manufactured products are sold and purchased through a web-based platform.

The session proved to be highly informative and engaging for the trainees. They responded positively when asked about their thoughts on the lecture, indicating the impact of the newfound knowledge imparted by Mr. Kamaljeet. The lecture concluded with a round of applause, acknowledging the efforts of both the speaker and the students in their pursuit of knowledge and preparation for their future careers.
