On 5th May 2025, Don Bosco Tech Kalaburagi hosted an enriching series of sessions for the DDEO trainees of Batch B2 (Batch Code: 250145), centered around life skills, personal development, and effective interpersonal engagement. Designed to nurture both professional competence and personal growth, the activities offered trainees a platform to explore themselves, connect with peers, and acquire practical skills that extend beyond the classroom.

The day began with interactive exercises that encouraged participants to introduce themselves and share personal stories. Through these “name game” activities, trainees not only strengthened self-awareness but also fostered a sense of community and group identity, laying the foundation for collaborative learning throughout the day.

Safety was emphasized as an integral part of both professional and personal life. Trainees engaged in discussions on workplace and personal safety, gaining practical knowledge on risk prevention and safe practices that are directly applicable to their environments.

A thought-provoking Johari Window exercise followed, enabling participants to explore the gap between self-perception and others’ perceptions. This exercise sparked deep reflection, highlighting the importance of openness, feedback, and empathetic communication in nurturing meaningful relationships.

Time management and financial literacy formed the next segments of the program. Through practical tools like prioritization matrices, to-do lists, and budgeting techniques, trainees discovered strategies to effectively plan their days, manage responsibilities, and make informed financial decisions.

Equally insightful were the sessions on perceptions and values, which guided trainees to reflect on how personal beliefs shape behavior, influence decision-making, and affect interpersonal interactions.

The day concluded with motivational videos, followed by group discussions that inspired participants, reinforced a growth mindset, and strengthened team enthusiasm.
