Communication Barrier Activity
14 May 2025
On 14th May 2025, an impactful and thought-provoking Communication Barrier Activity was conducted at Don Bosco Tech Society, Kalaburagi, as part of the ongoing Communication Skills training module. The event was thoughtfully designed to help trainees from the Domestic Data Entry Operator (DDEO) batch recognize, understand, and navigate the common barriers that hinder effective communication in both professional and personal settings.
What made this session stand out was its interactive and immersive approach. Trainees actively engaged in real-life simulations and role-play exercises that revealed how miscommunication can occur—and more importantly, how to prevent it. From decoding mixed messages to overcoming psychological and environmental obstacles, participants discovered new perspectives on how tone, body language, perception, and clarity play critical roles in communication.
The activity didn’t just enhance awareness—it sparked self-reflection, built empathy, and equipped the participants with practical strategies to foster clear and confident communication. Many trainees shared that the session was an eye-opener, providing them with valuable tools they could immediately apply in workplace scenarios and everyday interactions.
This enriching experience marked a significant step in building the trainees’ confidence and competence, paving the way for more effective collaboration and success in their professional journeys.
