2nd LMS for IT-CCE & Digital Mitra
11 Aug 2025
On August 11th and 12th, 2025, Don Bosco Tech Society, Gulbarga, marked a new chapter in its training journey by successfully conducting its first-ever Learning Management System (LMS)-based assessment. The event was organized for the ongoing batches of Digital Mitra (Batch Code: 250281) and IT-CCE (Batch Code: 2502250), making it a landmark step in blending traditional training with modern digital evaluation methods.
The idea behind this initiative was not only to measure how well the trainees understood the foundational modules of their programs but also to introduce them to the dynamic possibilities of online learning environments. For many, this was their very first experience of appearing for an assessment entirely through an LMS platform, opening the door to an exciting new dimension of digital literacy.
A total of 45 enthusiastic trainees took part in the test, which featured 30 multiple-choice questions carefully designed to reflect the key concepts from the early stages of their training. The questions spanned areas such as computer fundamentals, digital tools, workplace readiness, communication skills, and introductory IT knowledge. The structured format ensured that every participant was challenged while also encouraging them to think critically about the subjects they had been studying.
Prior to the test, each trainee received guidance on how to navigate the platform, log in securely, and manage their responses. The sessions were conducted in a well-prepared environment at the training center, with devices and internet connectivity provided to ensure smooth participation. Trainers and support staff were present throughout, ready to assist with any technical concerns, though the majority of trainees adapted with surprising ease, reflecting the growing confidence in their digital skills.
The most remarkable aspect of the event was the sense of empowerment it created among the trainees. For many, completing the test successfully within the stipulated time was not just about academic evaluation, but about breaking personal barriers with technology. The LMS platform, often seen as a tool reserved for advanced learners, became an accessible and reliable medium for everyone, showcasing the potential of digital education at the grassroots level.
This first LMS-based assessment at DB Tech Gulbarga was more than just a test—it was a milestone in the ongoing journey of digital transformation. It highlighted the readiness of trainees to embrace modern learning tools and confirmed the institution’s commitment to preparing them for a future where digital competency will be essential. The excitement and confidence sparked by this event have set the stage for more engaging, technology-driven assessments and interactive learning experiences at Don Bosco Tech Society in the days ahead.
