International youth day for IT-CCE & Digital Mitra
12 Aug 2025
Don Bosco Tech Society, Gulbarga, came alive with energy and purpose on August 12, 2025, as it celebrated International Youth Day with great fervor. The event was not just a day of observance but a vibrant call to action, reminding young people of their power to transform society and drive sustainable change.
The celebration began with a warm and spirited welcome by Ms. Bheembai, whose engaging presence set the stage for an inspiring afternoon. Her anchoring brought an atmosphere of excitement and curiosity, preparing the audience for a day filled with ideas, reflections, and youthful enthusiasm.
One of the most moving moments came through the speech of Ms. Laxmi, a student who captured the essence of International Youth Day with remarkable sincerity. She spoke passionately about the potential of young people to be change-makers, highlighting the importance of education, resilience, and civic participation. Her words reminded everyone that youth are not just the future—they are the present, actively shaping the direction of communities and nations.
The program reached a thoughtful high point with the address of the Centre Head, Fr. Kuriakose. In his speech, he connected the theme of the day to the broader mission of sustainable development. Drawing attention to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), he emphasized the crucial role of young people in tackling challenges like climate change, inequality, and social justice. His words urged the trainees to recognize their responsibility not just as individuals seeking personal success but as citizens of a world that urgently needs their creativity, compassion, and leadership.
The enthusiasm of the day was further amplified through interactive sessions and group discussions, where participants from both the Digital Mitra and IT CRM programs shared their perspectives. These exchanges sparked lively debates and reflections on how youth can engage with global and local issues—ranging from environmental sustainability to digital inclusion—making the celebration both participatory and impactful.
The presence and active involvement of staff members and trainees added a sense of unity and shared vision to the event. Together, they created an environment that celebrated not only the ideals of International Youth Day but also the values of Don Bosco Tech Society—empowerment, education, and social responsibility.
As the program concluded with a vote of thanks, the air was filled with renewed motivation. Students left the venue carrying more than just memories of a celebration; they carried a deeper understanding of their role as leaders, innovators, and guardians of tomorrow.
The International Youth Day celebration at Don Bosco Tech Society, Gulbarga, was more than an event—it was a reminder that when youth rise with purpose, society moves forward with hope.
