1st LMS for Digital Mitra
08 Aug 2025
The journey of digital empowerment at Don Bosco Tech Society, Gulbarga, reached an exciting milestone on August 7th and 8th, 2025, when the first-ever Learning Management System (LMS)-based test for the 5th batch of Digital Mitra trainees was successfully conducted. The two-day event not only tested knowledge but also symbolized a new chapter in how learning and assessment are being reshaped in the digital era.
The test served a dual purpose—evaluating how well the trainees had grasped the foundational modules of the Digital Mitra program while simultaneously immersing them in a real-time digital examination environment. For many, this was their very first encounter with an LMS-based evaluation, making it both a challenge and a learning curve.
The structure was straightforward yet impactful: 30 multiple-choice questions covering essential themes such as digital literacy, the evolving role of a Digital Mitra, fundamentals of communication, and effective customer interaction. While the questions demanded conceptual clarity, the larger goal was to encourage trainees to see how their new knowledge translates into real-world applications.
A total of 31 enthusiastic trainees participated, each navigating the digital platform with determination and focus. From logging in seamlessly to completing the test within the stipulated time, their adaptability reflected not just preparation but also a growing confidence in handling digital tools. The supervised setup ensured that technical support was available whenever needed, but to the surprise and delight of the facilitators, the trainees managed the platform with remarkable independence.
The assessment went beyond measuring academic performance—it became a live exercise in digital fluency. The way participants engaged with the platform demonstrated their readiness for future online learning and professional tasks that increasingly demand digital competency. It was clear that the LMS was not just a testing tool but an empowering medium, bridging the gap between traditional learning methods and the demands of a technology-driven workplace.
This event reaffirmed Don Bosco Tech Gulbarga’s vision of equipping youth with skills that go beyond textbooks, preparing them for the realities of today’s digital-first economy. The success of the LMS-based test stands as proof that innovation in training is not just about content but also about creating experiences that build confidence, self-reliance, and adaptability.
With this breakthrough, the Digital Mitra program steps into a future where technology-enabled assessments will become an integral part of training, ensuring that every learner is not only informed but also digitally empowered. The experience of August 7th and 8th will be remembered as the moment when digital learning at Gulbarga truly came alive—exciting, practical, and transformative.
