On July 23, 2025, Don Bosco Tech, Sambalpur, hosted an engaging and insightful guest lecture for the “IT Customer Care Executive” Batch – 2, designed to ignite passion and provide practical knowledge for aspiring professionals. The session commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda, Domain Trainer, who introduced the distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Kanhu Charan Swain, Senior Customer Care Executive at Vishal Mega Mart, Sambalpur, Odisha.

Mr. Kanhu captivated the trainees by emphasizing the critical role of an IT Customer Care Executive in today’s rapidly evolving, technology-driven landscape. He illuminated the often-underestimated complexity behind the role — not just resolving customer issues, but actively enhancing the customer experience by anticipating challenges and educating users to prevent future problems.

Through vivid real-life examples, he demystified the daily responsibilities of the role, including managing multi-channel communications—phone, email, and live chat—meticulously documenting issues, tracking service tickets with precision, and conducting timely follow-ups. He underscored the importance of maintaining detailed records, which form the backbone of efficient problem-solving and continuous improvement in customer service operations.

What made the session particularly inspiring was Mr. Kanhu’s personal career narrative.
