On November 8, 2025, Don Bosco Tech Society organized an exciting and informative exposure visit for the Guest Service Associate (Food & Beverage) trainees at the well-known Hotel KC Place, Sambalpur.

The main aim of the visit was to help trainees connect their classroom learning with the real working environment of the hospitality industry and gain hands-on experience.

The visit was guided by Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera (F&B Trainer) and warmly hosted by Mr. Ranjan Singh (Hotel Manager). Together, they gave the trainees an inside look into how a hotel operates every day.

The day began with a tour of the Front Office, where trainees learned about guest reservations, check-in procedures, room allocation, and porter services. Mr. Singh explained that the front office is the heart of the hotel, where professionalism, efficiency, and polite communication are key to creating a great first impression for guests.

Next, the trainees visited the Food & Beverage Department. They observed how the kitchen staff and service teams work together to provide smooth and efficient service. Trainees got to see the process of order-taking, table setting, and guest interaction in real-time. Mr. Singh shared valuable tips on how excellent hospitality is not just about speed and accuracy, but also about warmth, empathy, and making guests feel special.

The visit ended with an interactive Q&A session, where trainees discussed career opportunities, sustainability, teamwork, and problem-solving in the hospitality industry. This open discussion helped them understand how their training applies to real-world situations.

Overall, the exposure visit was a great learning experience. The trainees gained a better understanding of teamwork, communication, and professional behavior. They returned with new energy and confidence to build their careers in the hospitality field.

Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur, along with Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera and all the trainees, sincerely thank Hotel KC Place and Mr. Ranjan Singh for their warm welcome, guidance, and valuable insights.

This visit truly helped the trainees see how classroom learning connects to the real world and inspired them to work hard toward a successful career in hospitality.
