2nd Guest Lecture for IT Customer Care Executive Job Role (Batch – 04) under the Skill to Succeed 2025–26

On November 17, 2025, Don Bosco Tech, Sambalpur conducted an insightful Guest Lecture Session for Batch 4 trainees on the IT Customer Care Executive job role. The session aimed to provide trainees with real-time industry exposure and a clear understanding of workplace expectations.
The program began with a warm welcome by Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda, Centre Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of industry interactions in enhancing trainees’ skills and confidence. He introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Rabi Pradhan, Manager at Gaumaya Paints, Sambalpur, known for his extensive experience in customer relations and service management.
In his address, Mr. Rabi appreciated the trainees for choosing a career in IT customer support, describing it as a profession that “connects people, technology, and problem-solving.” He explained the core responsibilities of an IT Customer Care Executive, including handling customer queries through calls, emails, and chat; providing first-level troubleshooting; documenting issues; creating and tracking service tickets; and maintaining professional communication with users.
He further emphasized the significance of soft skills such as effective communication, empathy, patience, problem-solving, and time management. According to him, technical knowledge and positive behaviour together shape a successful career in customer care.
Sharing his own career journey—from an entry-level professional to a managerial position—Mr. Rabi encouraged trainees to adopt qualities like dedication, continuous learning, and resilience. His real-life examples helped trainees understand the challenges and opportunities in the industry.
The trainees actively participated, asking questions about career growth, skills required, and workplace expectations. Many expressed that the session gave them confidence and clarity about the IT customer care field.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera, who appreciated the guest for his valuable guidance.
Overall, the session proved to be an enriching experience, motivating trainees to pursue their careers with confidence, discipline, and determination.
