On 29th and 30th January, Don Bosco Tech, Kollam organized a well-planned two-day programme for students with the objective of commemorating and reflecting upon the life, history, and values of St. John Bosco. The programme featured a variety of educational and co-curricular activities including a poster competition, a puzzle game, and a quiz competition, all designed to enhance students’ knowledge, creativity, and team spirit.

On the first day, 29th January, a poster competition was conducted among student groups on the theme of the history of John Bosco, where students enthusiastically showcased their creativity by presenting important events, teachings, and contributions of John Bosco through attractive and informative posters. This activity helped students develop research skills and artistic expression while working collaboratively. The poster competition was followed by a puzzle game in which participants were required to assemble a picture of John Bosco accurately within a limited time, encouraging quick thinking, coordination, and teamwork, and creating an atmosphere of excitement and healthy competition among the students.

On the second day, 30th January, a quiz competition was organized based on the life and history of John Bosco and was conducted in three rounds, namely the common round, the rapid round, and the raise-up round, each designed to test the students’ knowledge, presence of mind, and confidence, with all teams participating actively and enthusiastically.

The academic sessions were further enriched by a welcome speech delivered by Ms. Vishnu Priya, a Cloud Application student, who highlighted the inspiring life and mission of John Bosco and warmly welcomed the gathering. This was followed by a felicitation address by Rev. Fr. Antony Joseph, Centre Director, who delivered a meaningful message emphasizing the importance of celebrating the feast day of John Bosco and motivating students to follow his values of discipline, service, and compassion in their daily lives. The presidential address was delivered by the chief guest, Mr. Stephen Titus, Trainer and Counsellor of  Kudumbasree Project, Kerala, who spoke on life-oriented themes drawn from the experiences and teachings of John Bosco, encouraging students to remain focused, responsible, and socially committed.

The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes to the winners, where Team LEGENDS secured the first prize in the quiz competition and Team VISION FLUX won the second prize, while in the overall performance across all activities, Team VISION FLUX emerged as the first prize winner and Team SKY secured the second prize, with the prizes being distributed by Rev. Fr. Antony Joseph and Mr. Stephen Titus. The two-day programme ended on a successful note, leaving the students inspired, informed, and motivated by the enduring legacy of St. John Bosco.
