22 Jan 2026
On 22 January 2026, Don Bosco Tech Kollam witnessed an inspiring and future-focused learning experience as students gathered for an engaging Career Orientation Class centered on job placement and emerging market trends. The session, held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, was not merely a lecture but a transformative interaction that challenged students to reimagine their professional journeys with clarity and confidence.
The program began with a warm and thoughtful welcome address by Ms. Kripa Shaji, a student of the IT Customer Care Executive batch. Her introduction set a reflective tone, emphasizing how career orientation initiatives serve as powerful bridges between classroom learning and real-world employment. Her words resonated with the audience, reminding everyone that preparation today defines opportunity tomorrow.
Rev. Fr. Antony Joseph, Centre Director of Don Bosco Tech Kollam, graced the occasion and addressed the students with an encouraging message. He highlighted the importance of discipline, skill mastery, and a value-driven approach to career building. His presence reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to holistic development and meaningful employment outcomes.
The highlight of the session was the dynamic address by Mr. Stephen Titus, Trainer and Counselor from the Kudumbasree Project, Kerala. Drawing from his extensive field experience, he offered practical insights into current employment trends, evolving industry expectations, and the realities of today’s competitive job market. Rather than presenting abstract concepts, he translated market dynamics into actionable strategies for students.
He encouraged participants to align their technical skills with industry needs, cultivate adaptability, and continuously upgrade themselves in a rapidly changing employment landscape. Special emphasis was placed on communication skills, professional conduct, and the attitude required to sustain long-term career growth. Through relatable examples and real-life scenarios, he illustrated how confidence, clarity, and preparation can significantly influence placement success.
The session also delved into interview techniques and resume preparation. Students were guided on how to present their strengths effectively, overcome interview anxiety, and demonstrate workplace readiness. These practical suggestions sparked curiosity and active participation among both Cloud Application Developer and IT Customer Care Executive trainees. Their questions and interactions reflected genuine enthusiasm and a strong desire to understand the pathways to sustainable employment.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Vishnupriya, a Cloud Application Developer student, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Stephen Titus for his impactful guidance. She also acknowledged Rev. Fr. Antony Joseph, the faculty members, and the management for creating such meaningful learning opportunities.
The Career Orientation Session held on 22 January 2026 was more than an academic engagement; it was a catalyst for ambition and informed decision-making. By blending industry insight with practical career strategies, the program empowered students to approach their professional aspirations with renewed determination. The session stands as a testament to Don Bosco Tech Society’s unwavering dedication to equipping youth with not just skills, but vision, resilience, and confidence for the evolving world of work.
