Don Bosco Tech, Kollam was honoured to welcome Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB, Provincial of the Bangalore Province, for his Provincial Visit on 02 February 2026. The visit unfolded as a deeply enriching and inspiring experience, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts and minds of students, staff, and the entire Don Bosco Tech community.

The programme opened with an interaction session with the students, setting a warm and enthusiastic tone for the day. Mr. Tinu Ruben, Centre Coordinator of Don Bosco Tech, Kollam, addressed the gathering and provided an insightful overview of DBTech and the various skill development programmes offered at the centre. He explained the training framework and encouraged students to take ownership of their learning journey, emphasizing the importance of commitment, discipline, and active participation in skill-building.

Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB was accorded a warm and respectful welcome by Rev. Fr. Stephen Mukkattil, Rector of The Quilon Don Bosco Society, and Rev. Fr. Antony Joseph, Director of Don Bosco Tech, Kollam, along with the staff and students. The atmosphere reflected the strong sense of family and shared mission that defines the Don Bosco spirit.

A special interaction session with the students became the highlight of the visit. Addressing the young trainees, the Provincial spoke passionately about the vision of Don Bosco, stressing the need for holistic education that balances technical competence with moral values and social responsibility. He inspired the students to walk the path laid down by Don Bosco—marked by discipline, dedication, compassion, and service to society—reminding them that true success lies in using one’s skills for the greater good.

During his address, Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB also spoke about Don Bosco Fest, highlighting its role in nurturing creativity, teamwork, leadership, and unity among young people. His words resonated strongly with the students, motivating them to recognize and make full use of the opportunities provided by Don Bosco Tech to shape their future.

As part of the 20 Years Celebration activity themed “DBTech Tree,” the Provincial planted two saplings on the campus. This symbolic gesture reflected growth, sustainability, and the enduring impact of Don Bosco Tech’s mission to empower youth through skill training and value-based education.

The visit also included a staff meeting with Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB and Rev. Fr. Antony Joseph, where discussions focused on institutional growth, collaborative teamwork, and future initiatives. The exchange fostered renewed enthusiasm and clarity of purpose among the staff members.

The Provincial Visit concluded with a group photo session involving Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB, Rev. Fr. Stephen Mukkattil, Rev. Fr.
