Report on Online Session on Mental Health

An online session on Mental Health was conducted on 3 July 2026 for all staff, trainees, and alumni. The session was organized under the guidance of Assistant Director Bro. Jose. The resource persons delivered informative presentations on various aspects of mental health and personal development.

The programme consisted of five modules:

Module 1: Mental Health and Emotional Well-being

The presenter explained the importance of maintaining good mental health, understanding emotions, managing stress, and seeking help when needed. Participants learned that emotional well-being plays a vital role in leading a healthy and productive life.

Module 2: Relationships

This module focused on building healthy relationships through respect, trust, effective communication, and mutual understanding. Participants were encouraged to maintain positive relationships with family members, friends, colleagues, and employers.

Module 3: Motivation

The presenter discussed the importance of self-motivation, goal setting, maintaining a positive attitude, and overcoming challenges. The session encouraged participants to remain focused on their personal and professional growth.

Module 4: Dangers of Substance Abuse

This module highlighted the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco, and drug abuse on physical health, mental well-being, family life, and career prospects. Participants were advised to adopt a healthy lifestyle and avoid substance abuse.

Module 5: Continuing Education after Placement

The final module emphasized the importance of lifelong learning. Participants were encouraged to continue upgrading their knowledge and skills through further education, training programmes, and online learning opportunities even after obtaining employment.

After each module, a 3-minute break was provided to recap the key points. During this time, the trainers explained the concepts in the students' local language to ensure better understanding and active participation.

The session was informative, engaging, and beneficial for all participants. It enhanced awareness about mental health, encouraged positive life choices, and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and personal development. The programme concluded successfully with active participation from the staff, trainees, and alumni.
