Programme: Food & Beverage Service Associate (B1) Orientation Programme

On 13 July 2026, the Food & Beverage Service Associate (B1) Orientation Programme was held at the AV Hall.

The programme was attended by Miss Rhiedolcy Diengdoh, Placement Coordinator; Sir Kynphamlang Shadap, MIS; Miss Geraldine Bang, Career Advisor; and PA, who represented SDO Ma'am Parksiar. The programme was also attended by the trainers, parents, and students.

The programme began with an opening prayer led by Br.Sniawshngain Papang, followed by a welcome speech delivered by Marbanylla, who warmly welcomed all the guests, parents, and students.

Br. Sniawshngain Papang addressed the gathering and emphasized that although the training is provided free of cost, students must attend classes regularly and remain committed throughout the course. He also encouraged parents to support and motivate their children to complete the training successfully and prepare for employment. He concluded the speech with words of encouragement to have perseverance and commitment to the jobs they are yet to receive. Giving up is not an option to the path to success.

The programme continued with a dance performance, followed by a speech by Miss Rhiedolcy Diengdoh, who explained the job placement opportunities available after the training. She highlighted that the placement programme would provide students with an opportunity to work outside the state, gain valuable experience, and build their careers. She also encouraged both students and parents to cooperate with the placement process and assured them that guidance and support would be provided through out.

A solo song was then performed by Balapynkmen, followed by a speech delivered by PA on behalf of SDO Ma'am Parksiar. In her message, she stressed the importance of maintaining good attendance, stating that students with low attendance would not receive their training certificate or be eligible for job placement. Her message encouraged students to remain sincere, responsible and dedicated throughout the course in order to achieve the best outcomes.

The programme continued with a group song presented by all the Food & Beverage Service Associate (B1) students. After the performance, Br. Sngawshngai, Miss Rhiedolcy, Sir Kynpham, and PA on behalf of SDO Ma'am Parksiar were invited to distribute training books and bags to all the students. The distribution marked the official commencement of the training programme and encouraged the students to begin their learning with enthusiasm and commitment. This was followed by the Vote of Thanks, delivered by Vicky Kurbah, who expressed sincere gratitude to the guests, speakers, parents, trainers, students, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. The formal programme concluded with light refreshments for all participants.

After the refreshments, a parents' meeting was held. During the meeting, the trainers explained the training programme, attendance requirements, and the job placement process, including travel arrangements and accommodation. Many parents actively participated by asking questions, mainly regarding placement and accommodation. Their concerns were addressed by the trainers, making the meeting informative and reassuring.

Overall, the programme was well organized and successful. It provided valuable information to both students and parents and encouraged their cooperation and commitment towards the successful completion of the Food & Beverage Service Associate (B1) training programme.
