Don Bosco Tech, Thakurmunda organized a guest lecturer for Organic Grower job role under Accenture – 12 on “better understanding on organic grower as a tool of production process” on June 30, 2022. Mrs. Namita Rout field officer of Odisha Forestry Sector Development was invited as the guest lecture. She is the excellent in forest plantation and focusing the organic process in plantation.

The guest lecture began with introduced by the domain trainer Mr. Abhimanyu Behera and he heartily welcomed Mrs. Namita Rout to deliver the lecture.

She described how organic farming in India has its roots in traditional agricultural practices that evolved in counties, villages and farming communities. Organic farming is not only helpful for fertility of soil but also improves the overall condition of human beings, animals and environment.

She explained the adverse impact of excessive use of chemicals on soil health and human health there has been an integrated management system, since organic farming soil health, human health and environmental health is eco system. Organic farming can be defined as an agricultural process that uses biological fertilisers and pest control acquired from animal or plant waste. Organic farming was actually initiated as an answer to the environmental sufferings caused by the use of chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. In other words, organic farming is a new system of farming or agriculture that repairs, maintains, and improves the ecological balance.

At last, there was a question answer session and she explained and answers all queries. She has advised to trainees to adopt the process of organic way of production rather than the modern crop farming which in result deteriorates the soil and the human health.  She also suggested trainees to take seriously and make it as carrier. Finally Mr. Diganta Pattnaik (Support Domain Trainer) thanked to Mrs. Rout for sharing her knowledge and taking the time out to educate the trainees.
