The occasion was celebrated with a special parent's meeting that brought together trainers, parents, and an enthusiastic community eager to delve into the realm of organic farming.
Led by the dedicated duo of Mr. Abhimanyu Behera (Domain Trainer), Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain (Center Coordinator), and Mrs. Rasmita Behera (Support Domain Trainer), this event witnessed the active participation of parents from various corners of Mayurbhanj District.
Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, the Domain Trainer, extended a warm welcome to the parents, providing valuable insights into the significance of organic farming and its role in shaping a sustainable future. He illuminated the manifold benefits of organic farming, emphasizing its positive impact not only on individuals but also on future generations. Mr. Behera shed light on the need for a shift in common farming practices, addressing concerns such as excessive water usage, field burning, and high seed rates. Proposing solutions, he advocated for the conservation of water through methods like sprinkler and drip irrigation systems, while also emphasizing the detrimental effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The adoption of organic farming techniques like vermi-composting, jeewamrit, and herbal sprays was encouraged to enhance product quality.
The interaction with parents provided a platform for their voices to be heard, as they expressed appreciation for Don Bosco Tech's commitment to social causes and its positive impact on the trainees and the community as a whole.
