Don Bosco Tech, Thakurmunda recently hosted an enlightening guest lecture session for Batch-8 trainees of Accenture 2023-24, focusing on the vital role of organic growing methods in contemporary agriculture. On December 18, 2023, Ms. Sabita Tudu, a seasoned organic farmer from Maa Arnapurna Organic Farm, Anandapur, graced the event as the esteemed guest lecturer.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by domain trainer Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, who introduced Ms. Tudu and set the tone for an insightful discourse.
Ms. Tudu's presentation delved into the urgency of transitioning towards organic farming practices, driven by the ecological challenges associated with conventional methods. With fervor, she elucidated the adverse effects of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers on soil health, water quality, and biodiversity, stressing the imperative for embracing organic approaches to alleviate these environmental impacts.
Exploring the fundamental principles of organic cultivation, Ms. Tudu emphasized the paramount importance of nurturing soil health, implementing crop rotation, and utilizing natural fertilizers.
