The inaugural ceremony for batches 7 and 8 of the Accenture-12 program, focusing on the roles of Mushroom Grower and Organic Grower, took place at Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda on November 28, 2022. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests: Mrs. Nilamani Bindhani, Tasar Instructor of NABARD; Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, Centre Coordinator; Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, Trainer; Mr. Diganta Pattnaik, Support Domain Trainer; and the enthusiastic trainees.

Mr. Diganta Pattnaik highlighted the remarkable journey of Don Bosco Tech across India, emphasizing its longstanding presence in Thakurmunda. He elaborated on the mission and vision of the Don Bosco Tech Society, detailing the features and deliverables of the Accenture project. He underscored the immense benefits of participating in the DB Tech Skilling Mission, warmly welcoming all trainees to the program.

Mrs. Nilamani Bindhani delivered an enlightening speech on the contemporary significance of Mushroom and Organic Farming. She discussed how organic farming enhances soil health and benefits human well-being, maintaining agricultural production at sustainable levels while reducing costs and boosting soil fertility. She emphasized the objectives of organic farming: conserving the environment and natural resources, re-establishing ecological balance, promoting sustainable agriculture, increasing genetic diversity, and eliminating chemical pollution and toxic residues. She also highlighted the economic potential of mushroom cultivation, noting its rapid profitability and growing popularity among Indian farmers as a lucrative alternative income source.

Mr. Diganta Pattnaik further explained the critical role of this training in addressing job crises. He emphasized that the skills acquired through this program offer pathways to self-employment, particularly for rural women and youth. The program aims to foster entrepreneurship in rural communities through the cultivation and sale of mushrooms, empowering participants with essential business skills.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, who expressed gratitude to the state operational team and trainees. He assured everyone of a promising future ahead. The inspiring ceremony culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable and insightful event.
