The batch inaugural ceremony was held on May 9, 2023 at Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda for the Mushroom Grower job role of Accenture 2023-24. The inaugural ceremony began with the formal procedure of lighting of lamp by the centre head Sri Sarat Kumar Tripathy, Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain (Centre Coordinator), Mr. Abhimanyu Behera (Trainer), Mr. Diganta Pattnaik (Support Domain Trainer) and beloved trainees.

Mr. Diganta Pattnaik formally explained the successful journey of DB Tech in all over India and how it has been operating in Thakurmunda for many years. He explained the mission & vision of Don Bosco Tech Society and the various project feature and deliverables of Accenture. He briefed the benefits of getting into DB Tech Skilling Mission and welcomes all the trainees on behalf of DB Tech.

Mr. Sarat Kumar Tripathy described the importance of Mushroom Grower in agriculture and related fields and how giving utmost opportunity for self employment. He motivated everyone to actively participate in the training to get benefited. He talked about the importance of mushroom, its medicinal and food value and its economic importance. Discussion was also done about the value added products from mushroom. He said the cultivation of mushrooms doesn’t require any complicated machinery to plough land and spraying fertilizers or pesticides. It can be done using agricultural waste products to obtain nutrition without the need for land. This is very helpful, especially for the farmers having no or less land. Once the proper environment is created to suit the mushroom cultivation, very little or no maintenance is required to help its growth. It is the most profitable activity among all the types, to grow paddy straw mushrooms you required less investment.

At the end Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain offered a vote of thanks to all including the state operational team. He thanked to guests and trainees for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence.
