Don Bosco Tech, Thakurmunda organized a guest lecturer session for Organic Grower job role (Batch – 12) under Accenture – 12 on “to providing knowledge of organic farming and preparation of Bio-fertilizer” on March 11, 2023. Ms. Namita Rout field officer of Odisha Forestry Sector Development was invited as the guest lecture. She holds the expertise in forest plantation and focusing the organic process in plantation.

The guest lecture began with introduced by the domain trainer Mr. Abhimanyu Behera and he heartily welcomed Ms. Namita Rout to deliver the lecture.

She described how organic farming in India has its roots in traditional agricultural practices that evolved in counties, villages and farming communities. Organic farming is not only helpful for fertility of soil but also improves the overall condition of human beings, animals and environment.

She told in her seminar that chemical fertilizers are toxic to environment and health. In her talk she gave a good knowledge about different methods for production of Natural fertilizers. She also discussed the journey of farmer field from last 5 years. She explained many case studies from her experiences regarding preparation of biofertilizers from starting till date. She advised trainees to produce natural fertilizers and pesticides in their own farm.

She finally concluded her lecture by pointing out the difference between knowledge and Information. After her lecture the students were given time to interact with the dignitary.

The lecture was of great success. It helps students to know about something new and prepare themselves for something innovative and new. The lecture came to an end with the Vote of Thanks by the support domain trainer Mr. Diganta Pattnaik he thanked to Mrs. Rout for sharing her knowledge and taking the time out to educate the trainees.
