Inauguration Ceremony of Batch - 11 & 12 (Mushroom Grower and Organic Grower), Accenture 2023-24

On February 19, 2024, a significant milestone was marked at Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda as it hosted the inaugural ceremony for Batch 11 and 12 trainees embarking on the journey of becoming Mushroom Growers and Organic Growers for Accenture 23-24. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests, including Mr. Sarat Tripathy, Centre Head of Thakurmunda, Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, Centre Coordinator, Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, Trainer, Mrs. Rasmita Behera, Support Domain Trainer, and the enthusiastic trainees themselves.
Mr. Abhimanyu Behera eloquently elucidated the rich history and successful endeavors of DB Tech across India, particularly highlighting its significant presence in Thakurmunda. He delved into the overarching mission and vision of the Don Bosco Tech Society, shedding light on the transformative projects and deliverables in collaboration with Accenture. Mr. Behera warmly welcomed all trainees on behalf of DB Tech, emphasizing the invaluable benefits of engaging in Don Bosco Tech's Skilling Mission.
In his address, Mr. Sarat Tripathy underscored the contemporary significance of learning Mushroom Growing and Organic Farming practices. He articulated the manifold benefits of organic farming, elucidating its role in enhancing soil health and sustaining agricultural production. Mr. Tripathy emphasized the holistic aims of organic farming, ranging from environmental conservation to economic value addition through quality mushroom products.
Mr. Jagdish Prasad Swain elucidated how the training provided would play a pivotal role in mitigating job crises, offering avenues for self-employment, particularly empowering rural women and youth through mushroom cultivation and entrepreneurial skills. Mr. Behera further expounded on how organic methodologies could amplify farm productivity, foster environmental restoration, and integrate small-scale farm families into sustainable distribution networks, thereby enhancing food security.
The ceremony culminated with Mrs. Rasmita Behera extending heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, including the state operational team, for their unwavering support. She expressed gratitude to the trainees for their enthusiastic participation and assured them of a promising future ahead. The event drew to a close with the resonant strains of the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride in the journey towards empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.
