The distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Paresh Chandra Behera, a revered Block Research Person (B R P) from Thakurmunda, illuminated the session with his insights.

The event commenced with a warm introduction by domain trainer Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, extending a hearty welcome to Mr. Paresh Chandra Behera.

In his engaging discourse, Mr. Behera fervently emphasized the contemporary significance of organic farming, positioning soil health as its cornerstone. He expounded on the imperative of nurturing a living soil enriched with organic matter, microorganisms, and beneficial fungi. The discourse underscored essential practices such as cover cropping, composting, and crop rotation to sustain soil fertility.

Highlighting the cultivation of diverse crops as a means to enhance biodiversity and mitigate the risk of pests and diseases, Mr. Behera introduced ingenious strategies like companion planting, specifically intercropping, to harness natural pest control and optimize resource utilization.

Furthermore, Mr. Behera shed light on the pivotal role of organic inputs, advocating for natural fertilizers and pest control methods. He ardently advocated steering clear of synthetic chemicals and embracing beneficial insects as vital elements in an organic grower's arsenal. Trainees were encouraged to adopt organic farming techniques like vermi-composting, jeewamrit, and herbal sprays to augment the quality of their yield. Notably, he emphasized adopting natural techniques for nutrient management, pest and disease control, and imparted valuable insights into various government schemes related to organic farming.
