Guest lecturer session for Mushroom Grower job role was successfully organized at Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda Center on March 10, 2023 for the student of batch – 11, Accenture 12. Mr. Chakradhar Das Field officer of Odisha Forestry Sector Development was invited as the guest lecturer.

The guest lecture began with welcome address by the domain trainer Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain. He has introduced and welcomed Mr. Chakradhar Das to deliver the lecture

He shared the basic details of Mushroom Grower. He described Mushrooms are long been valued as high medicinal and nutritional food by many societies around the world. He discussed cultivation, marketing, and other essential aspects of the professional cultivation of the mushrooms. He appraised the training and other related aspects to beginners interested in mushroom cultivation to start their business.

Mr. Das explained his experience in the Mushroom cultivations. He started his own business to provide rural livelihood in his village. He explained that to learn mushroom cultivation, he has done research and training from different institute. He emphasized mushroom cultivation for the development of the rural areas. The impacts of the mushroom business on livelihoods and poverty reduction are significant and wide-spread. He continued his speech by explaining the production cost for starting the cultivation of each batch of mushroom.

During the interactive session, few questions were raised by the participants, which were answered by Mr. Das. The trainees were very happy and were inspired after the guest lecturer and they said it was a fruitful session for their bright future.

The session ended with a hearty thanks to Mr. Das by support domain trainer Mr. Diganta Pattnaik in appreciation for taking the time out to educate the students.
