On June 24, 2025, in a remarkable initiative to inspire the next generation of housekeeping professionals, Don Bosco Tech, Thakurmunda organized an insightful guest lecture session for the Housekeeping Batch 1 trainees. The session featured Mr. Ratikanta Baidya (Retired Headmaster, Thakurmunda High School) as the keynote speaker.

Guided by the expertise of Centre Head Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy, Domain Trainer Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, and Support Trainer Mrs. Rasmita Behera, the event sparked thought-provoking discussions on the evolving scope of housekeeping in India.

Drawing from years of experience, Mr. Baidya emphasized that housekeeping involves managing household duties such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining hygiene and safety in both homes and professional environments like hotels, hospitals, and offices. Mr. Baidya also outlined various job roles available in the housekeeping sector, including Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeper, Room Attendant, and Cleaner. He explained that students who enjoy active, hands-on work may find this field particularly rewarding.
