Guided by the expertise of Centre Head Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy, Domain Trainer Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, and Support Trainer Mrs. Rasmita Behera, the event sparked thought-provoking discussions on the evolving scope of housekeeping in India.
Drawing from years of experience, Mr. Baidya emphasized that housekeeping involves managing household duties such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining hygiene and safety in both homes and professional environments like hotels, hospitals, and offices. Simply put, housekeeping is about keeping a place clean, orderly, and well-maintained.
He highlighted the health and wellness benefits of effective housekeeping practices and spoke about placement opportunities for trained individuals. These include roles in industries where cleanliness and hygiene are critical; such as hospitality, healthcare, and facility management.
Mr. Baidya also outlined various job roles available in the housekeeping sector, including Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeper, Room Attendant, and Cleaner. He explained that students who enjoy active, hands-on work may find this field particularly rewarding.
During the interactive Q&A session, Mr. Baidya answered trainees' questions with clarity and passion, leaving them feeling inspired and informed. He emphasized that housekeeping develops essential life and professional skills; such as time management, attention to detail, and customer service; which are valuable across many industries.
