On August 2, 2025, Don Bosco Tech hosted a Parents' Meeting for the trainees enrolled in the Electrician Domestic Solutions and Housekeeping Assistant job roles. This event was more than a formal gathering—it represented a significant milestone in strengthening the partnership between trainees, their families, and the institution as the students prepare for the transition from training to employment.

The primary objective of the meeting was to actively involve parents in their children’s training journey, helping them understand not only the course structure but also the professional opportunities that await their children upon completion. It was designed to provide transparency, build trust, and create a shared vision for each trainee's future.

The session began with a welcoming address from Ms. Rasmita Behera, Support Domain Trainer, who introduced the purpose and flow of the meeting. This was followed by detailed presentations from Domain Trainers Mr. Abhimanyu Behera and Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain. They elaborated on the training curriculum, hands-on modules, and the placement support system offered by Don Bosco Tech. Mr. Swain also offered valuable insights into current industry expectations, potential employers, and the critical importance of soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability in the modern workplace.

The session created a space for open dialogue, where parents were invited to ask questions, share feedback, and express their thoughts. Many parents spoke appreciatively of the opportunities being made available to their children and expressed renewed confidence in the direction the training was taking. For some, it was the first time they had a clear understanding of the skill development process and its real-world applications.

A recurring message throughout the meeting was the essential role that families play in supporting trainees during their transition from learning environments to professional settings. The trainers emphasized how emotional encouragement and continued involvement from parents can boost confidence and help trainees adapt more effectively to workplace challenges.

The meeting concluded with words of encouragement from the staff, reiterating Don Bosco Tech’s mission to create not just skilled professionals but responsible, confident individuals ready to meet the demands of today’s evolving job market.

Overall, the event proved to be an enriching experience that deepened the connection between the institution and the families it serves. It provided clarity, reassurance, and a collective sense of purpose, making August 2, 2025, a memorable and meaningful day for all who attended.
