On September 10, 2025, Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda organized the inauguration ceremony for the Housekeeping Assistant Batch 3. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the move from darkness to light.

The event was graced by Centre Head Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy, honorable guest Mr. Chakradhar Das (Reporter, SAMAJ newspaper), Domain Trainer Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, and Mrs. Golapa Behera, who together joined the trainees in marking this special occasion.

In his keynote speech, Mr. Tripathy spoke about the importance of housekeeping in the hospitality industry. He explained that housekeeping is not only about cleanliness but also about creating comfort, care, and a pleasant experience for every guest.

Mr. Das encouraged the trainees, saying this training marks the start of an exciting journey where they will gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build a bright future.

During the session, the speakers highlighted several benefits of good housekeeping in the hospitality sector:

It was also explained that trainees will receive practical training in simulated hotel rooms and housekeeping labs. Some centers may also arrange internships in hotels or hospitals. After successful training, students will receive a certificate, helping them apply for jobs in the industry.

Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain thanked everyone present and motivated the students to stay curious, ask questions, and practice with dedication. He reminded them that every small detail matters in hospitality.
