On June 27, 2025, Don Bosco Tech, Kollam, hosted a landmark event that brought together trainees, parents, and faculty in a shared spirit of hope and purpose. The Batch Inauguration and Parent’s Meeting marked a significant step in the center’s mission of skill development and youth empowerment, formally welcoming new trainees into the Cloud Application Developer and IT Customer Care Executive programs.

The program began with a soulful prayer that set a reverent tone, invoking blessings for the trainees, their families, and the staff. It served as a reminder that the day was not just an academic milestone, but also a meaningful life event.

A vibrant welcome address by Abdulla A. M., a Cloud Application Developer trainee, added energy and positivity to the gathering. His heartfelt words reflected the aspirations of his fellow students and laid the foundation for a spirit of camaraderie among the new batches.

One of the most inspiring moments of the event came with the motivational address of Fr. Stephen Mukkattil, Rector of the Quilon Don Bosco Tech Society. He highlighted the missions of both the NSDC and Don Bosco Tech Society, stressing the life-changing role of skill development and reminding trainees that they were joining a larger movement dedicated to empowerment and social transformation.

This vision was further carried forward by Fr. Antony Joseph, Director of the Center, who welcomed the trainees and their parents. He spoke about the vast employment opportunities within Kollam district and encouraged students to pursue their training with dedication and a sense of purpose. His words reflected the center’s commitment to nurturing the holistic development of every student.

The day’s reflections continued with a thought-provoking address by Fr. Saji, Director of FCDP, who touched upon pressing societal issues and urged students and parents alike to adopt a forward-looking mindset.

To encourage open communication, a lively question-and-answer session was led by Center Coordinator Mr. Tinu Ruben. This provided parents with an opportunity to interact directly with trainers and administrators, helping to build transparency and trust.

Adding further value, Domain Trainers Ms. Shiny S and Ms. Bineesha B outlined the structure of the training programs. They explained how the courses are aligned with current industry standards and designed to prepare students for the challenges of the workplace. They also emphasized the importance of parental support in helping trainees adapt to professional environments, manage expectations, and achieve success.

The event drew to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by IT Customer Care Executive trainee Ms. Thasnimol. Her words of gratitude towards trainers, staff, parents, and fellow students beautifully captured the spirit of the day—one of appreciation, commitment, and optimism. A final interactive session with parents further strengthened the partnership between the center and families, fostering a shared vision for the future.
