WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY- THEME-BASED CREATIVE POSTER COMPETITION

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Don Bosco Tech, Kollam, organized a theme-based programme titled "Future Skills Through AI – Creative Poster Competition." The event was conducted to commemorate the day by encouraging students to reflect on the importance of future-ready skills in the era of Artificial Intelligence. It aimed to create awareness about emerging technologies and inspire students to develop essential competencies such as creativity, innovation, critical thinking, digital literacy, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. The programme also emphasized that acquiring these skills is vital not only for career growth but also for achieving success in life.

Students enthusiastically participated in the competition by forming teams and designing creative posters based on the theme "Future Skills Through AI." Through their innovative ideas and artistic presentations, they explored how Artificial Intelligence is transforming various sectors and highlighted the need for young people to continuously upskill to meet the demands of the evolving world of work. Their posters effectively conveyed the importance of embracing technology responsibly while developing the knowledge, skills, and values required to succeed in both professional and personal life.

The posters were evaluated based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, clarity of message, and overall presentation. The competition showcased the students' imagination, awareness, teamwork, and ability to communicate meaningful ideas through visual art, reflecting their understanding of the role of AI in shaping the future.

Following a careful evaluation, Team Avengers, comprising Bushra, Siddiq, Athira, Abhijith, and Raghi, was awarded the First Prize, while Team Amigos, consisting of Abhirami, Devika, Anstal, Yedukrishnan, and Saiedali, secured the Second Prize.

The winners were felicitated with trophies by Fr. Antony Joseph, Centre Director, Don Bosco Tech, Kollam, who congratulated the winning teams and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all the students. In his address, he emphasized that continuous learning, skill development, adaptability, and innovation are essential for building a successful future. He encouraged the students to make effective use of emerging technologies, develop future-ready skills, and strive for excellence so that they can achieve success in life and make meaningful contributions to society.

The programme concluded on a positive and inspiring note, making the World Youth Skills Day celebration both meaningful and memorable. The "Future Skills Through AI – Creative Poster Competition" successfully promoted awareness of Artificial Intelligence while reinforcing the importance of skill development, creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning as the foundation for a successful career and a fulfilling life.
