A vibrant wave of creativity swept through Don Bosco Tech, Kollam, on 20th June 2025, as the institute hosted a Poster Competition designed to nurture imagination, self-expression, and awareness among its students. With the theme “My Skill, My Journey,” the event invited participants to translate their personal and professional growth into powerful visual stories.

What unfolded was a celebration of talent and individuality. Forty-eight students, representing two departments, stepped forward with posters that carried not just colors and designs, but also reflections of their journeys, aspirations, and the transformative role of skills in shaping their futures. Each poster became a canvas of ideas—some deeply introspective, others boldly expressive—yet all bound together by a shared spirit of innovation.

The evaluation process, led by Centre Head Mr. Tinu Ruben, focused on creativity, relevance to the theme, visual appeal, and originality. Choosing the winners was no easy task, as the entries were rich in imagination and meaning. Finally, the standout works were recognized:

First Prize: Thasni & Team – Dynamic Diamonds
Second Prize: Akshay & Team – Tech Titans
Third Prize: Aby & Team – Butterflies

Beyond the prizes, the competition succeeded in creating a space where students could move beyond classroom learning and embrace storytelling through art. Trainers Ms. Bineesha B and Ms. Shiny S, who coordinated the event with support from faculty members and volunteers, ensured that the program ran smoothly and inclusively, leaving every participant with a sense of pride and achievement.

The event concluded with a feeling of inspiration resonating across the campus. Faculty and students alike appreciated how the competition not only brought hidden artistic skills to the forefront but also strengthened communication, confidence, and self-awareness.
