NEXUS 2026 – Report

The NEXUS 2026 – Inauguration, Parents' Meeting, and Certification Ceremony was successfully organized on 10 July 2026 at the Hall of Don Bosco Tech Kollam. The event marked the inauguration of the new academic batch, strengthened the partnership between the institution and parents, and celebrated the successful completion of training by the outgoing Cloud Application Developer students through the distribution of certificates.

The programme commenced with an invocation seeking God's blessings, followed by a warm welcome address by Mr. Tinu Ruben (Centre Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech Kollam). He extended a cordial welcome to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents, students, staff members, and all the invitees. In his address, he highlighted the mission of Don Bosco Tech in empowering youth through quality skill development and expressed gratitude to everyone for their continued support and participation.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Adv. Vishnu Mohan, MLA (Eravipuram Constituency), the Chief Guest for the occasion. In his inaugural address, he appreciated the efforts of Don Bosco Tech in equipping young people with employable skills and encouraged the students to remain committed to lifelong learning, discipline, and hard work.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Fr. Benjamin Pampakkal, SDB (Rector, Don Bosco Community, Kollam), who emphasized the importance of value-based education, character formation, and skill development in preparing young people for a successful future. He motivated the students to make the best use of the opportunities provided by the institution.

The programme was further enriched by words of appreciation from Fr. Antony Joseph, SDB (Director, Don Bosco Tech Kollam); Ms. Dhanya S. (Division Councillor, Udaya Marthandapuram); and Mr. R. Krishnakumar (Senior Executive, Don Bosco Tech Kerala). The speakers congratulated the outgoing students on their achievements and encouraged the newly admitted trainees to pursue their courses with dedication, confidence, and determination. They also acknowledged the vital role of parents in supporting the educational and career aspirations of their children.

A Parents' Meeting was conducted as an integral part of the programme to familiarize parents with the training process, institutional guidelines, placement support, and the overall objectives of Don Bosco Tech. The session provided an opportunity for parents to interact with the management and trainers, thereby strengthening the partnership between the institution and families in ensuring the holistic development of the students.

The Certification Ceremony for the Cloud Application Developer students followed, during which certificates were presented to trainees who had successfully completed their training programme. The ceremony recognized their commitment, perseverance, and successful completion of the course, marking an important milestone in their professional journey.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Expression of Gratitude delivered by Ms. Shiny S. (Trainer, Don Bosco Tech Kollam), who conveyed sincere appreciation to the Chief Guest, the President, all the dignitaries, parents, students, staff members, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the event. She acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the organizing team and thanked all the participants for making the programme a memorable success.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the participants inspired and motivated. NEXUS 2026 proved to be a meaningful and successful programme that celebrated new beginnings, recognized student achievements, and reaffirmed Don Bosco Tech Kollam's commitment to empowering youth through skill development, holistic education, and career-focused training.
