On 15th July 2025, Don Bosco Tech, Kollam marked World Youth Skills Day with an energetic and purpose-driven Awareness Rally, igniting a spirit of motivation and unity among students, staff, and the local community. The event was not just a celebration—it was a moving call to action on the importance of skill development in shaping the future of India’s youth.

The rally commenced at 10:00 AM from the Don Bosco Tech campus, led by Centre Coordinator Mr. Tinu Ruben, who flagged off the event with a short but powerful speech. He urged students to equip themselves with market-relevant skills and emphasized how vocational education serves as a bridge to meaningful employment and personal growth in today’s competitive world.

With vibrant banners and thought-provoking placards in hand, the participants—trainees, trainers, and staff—marched with enthusiasm through the nearby streets, drawing the attention of onlookers and passersby. Messages focused on youth empowerment, the dignity of skilled work, and the importance of lifelong learning echoed throughout the rally.

The local community paused to take notice as the rally passed by, successfully sparking conversations around vocational training, technical education, and the opportunities available for young people. For many of the students participating, it was their first time publicly advocating for a cause they themselves are part of—making the experience both personal and powerful.

The event concluded back at the campus, where light refreshments were served, and a sense of achievement was shared among all. The rally left a lasting impression—not just as a part of World Youth Skills Day—but as a memorable moment of awareness, pride, and purpose for every student who walked with hope for a better future.

More than just a symbolic event, the rally reflected the mission of Don Bosco Tech Society: to inspire, empower, and equip the youth with skills that transform lives.
