25 Jul 2026
On July 25, 2026, Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur organized a Parents' Meeting for the trainees of the Graphic Designer, Guest Service Associate (Food & Beverage), and IT Customer Care Executive courses under the Learning to Earning Programme. The objective of the meeting was to update parents on their children's progress, familiarize them with the training programmes, and help them understand the career opportunities available in each job role.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera, who highlighted the vital role parents play in supporting and motivating their children throughout the training journey. He introduced Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur Centre and shared its commitment to providing quality skill-based training, personality development, and industry-oriented learning to prepare youth for sustainable employment. He encouraged parents to remain actively involved and maintain regular communication with the centre to ensure the overall development of the trainees.
Mr. Lalgopal Nanda then addressed the gathering and introduced Accenture's Learning to Earning initiative and Don Bosco Tech's skill development programmes implemented across India. He explained how the initiative equips young people with industry-relevant knowledge, practical skills, and workplace readiness, enabling them to secure meaningful employment.
He also provided an overview of the three training programmes. Parents were informed that the Graphic Designer course develops creative and technical skills in visual communication, branding, image editing, and digital design using industry-standard software. The Guest Service Associate (Food & Beverage) course prepares trainees for careers in the hospitality industry by developing skills in food and beverage service, guest handling, communication, hygiene, teamwork, and professional etiquette. The IT Customer Care Executive course equips trainees with customer service, communication, computer applications, problem-solving, and technical support skills required for customer support roles in the IT and service sectors.
An interactive session followed, during which parents openly shared their views, raised questions, and interacted with the trainers. The trainers addressed their queries and shared the progress made by the trainees in terms of technical knowledge, communication skills, confidence, discipline, and overall professional development. Parents appreciated the learning environment and expressed their confidence in the quality of training being provided.
The meeting strengthened the partnership between the centre and the parents while reinforcing the importance of continuous parental support in helping trainees successfully complete the programme and achieve their career goals. The importance of regular communication between parents, trainers, and the centre was also emphasized.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Rasmita Behera, who expressed her sincere gratitude to all the parents for their presence, active participation, valuable feedback, and continued support in making the meeting a success.
