15 Jul 2026
On 15 July 2026, Don Bosco Tech Society, Sambalpur Centre, organized an exposure visit for the Guest Service Associate (Food & Beverage) trainees to Hotel KC Place, Sambalpur. The visit was arranged to provide trainees with practical exposure to hotel operations and help them understand how the skills learned in the classroom are applied in the hospitality industry.
The visit was led by Mr. Isaka Pradhan, F&B Trainer, and the trainees were warmly welcomed by Mr. Ranjan Singh, Hotel Manager. He introduced the trainees to the hospitality industry and explained the importance of professionalism, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
The visit began with a tour of the Front Office Department, where trainees learned about guest reservations, check-in and check-out procedures, room allocation, and porter services. Mr. Singh explained that the front office is the first point of contact for guests and plays an important role in creating a positive first impression through polite communication and efficient service.
The trainees then visited the Food & Beverage Department, where they observed table setting, order-taking, food service, and guest interaction. They also learned how the kitchen and service teams work together to provide a pleasant dining experience. The trainees understood that good hospitality depends on teamwork, communication, accuracy, and a friendly attitude.
The visit concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session. The trainees asked questions about career opportunities, workplace expectations, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving. Mr. Singh answered their queries and encouraged them to continue improving their skills and maintain a positive attitude.
The exposure visit was informative and inspiring. It helped the trainees gain practical knowledge, improved their understanding of hotel operations, and increased their confidence to work in the hospitality industry.
Don Bosco Tech Society, Sambalpur Centre, under the guidance of Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera, along with Mr. Isaka Pradhan and all the trainees, sincerely thanks Hotel KC Place and Mr. Ranjan Singh for their warm hospitality, valuable guidance, and support in making the visit a meaningful learning experience.
