Guest Lecture for Graphic Designer Job Role, Batch - 01, Skills To Succeed 2025-26

Don Bosco Tech Society, Sambalpur Centre, conducted a guest lecture session on August 6, 2025, for the Graphic Designer trainees of Batch 01 under the Skills to Succeed 2025–26 program. The session featured Ms. Akanksha Samanta, proprietor of Samanta Print Craft, Sonepur, who shared her industry experience and insights with the students.
Ms. Akanksha emphasized the importance of brand identity in graphic design. She explained that a logo is not just a visual symbol but a representation of a brand's story, values, and vision. She elaborated on the distinction between logo design and branding, illustrating how an effective logo lays the foundation for brand recognition.
The session also covered seven key principles for creating impactful layouts, with practical guidance on text alignment, visual balance, and the strategic use of graphic elements. Ms. Akanksha’s insights helped trainees understand how to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also meaningful and functional.
In addition to technical skills, she spoke about the evolving career landscape in graphic design, encouraging students to stay updated with trends and continuously refine their creativity and technical skills.
This guest lecture significantly enhanced the trainees’ understanding of the field, offering them both practical knowledge and industry inspiration. It also reinforced the importance of design in building successful brands and businesses.
