A guest lecture for the Graphic Designer Batch-1 trainees was conducted at Don Bosco Tech Society, Sambalpur Centre on 7th July 2026. The objective of the session was to enhance the trainees' knowledge and create awareness about career opportunities in the field of graphic design.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Mr. Manoj Behera, Manager at Screen Media Pvt. Ltd., Bareipalli, Sambalpur, by Mr. Lalgopal Nanda, Domain Trainer. He also introduced the trainees to Don Bosco Tech Society, its mission, and the various skill development programmes offered by the centre. He explained how the organization helps young people develop industry-relevant skills and improve their employment opportunities.

Mr. Manoj Behera then addressed the trainees and spoke about the importance of graphic design in today's digital world. He explained how the demand for skilled graphic designers is increasing across different industries due to the rapid growth of digital media and online businesses.

During the session, he highlighted the benefits of learning graphic design, including improving creativity, visual communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. He also explained how graphic design can open opportunities for employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and career growth.

The trainees were introduced to the different industries where graphic designers can build their careers, such as advertising agencies, digital marketing companies, publishing houses, media organizations, IT companies, e-commerce firms, and corporate organizations.

Mr. Behera also discussed various career options available in the field, including Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer, Visual Designer, Brand Designer, Motion Graphics Designer, Illustrator, and Digital Content Creator. He encouraged the trainees to build a strong portfolio, stay updated with the latest design trends, and continuously improve their technical and creative skills.

The session was interactive, with trainees actively asking questions and participating in discussions. The guest speaker answered their queries and shared practical insights from his professional experience, motivating the trainees to prepare for successful careers in the creative industry.
