Field Visit Report – E-Commerce Domain

Don Bosco Tech Society, Jalandhar, organized an educational field visit for the E-Commerce Domain trainees to Farm to Basket, Nakodar on 29 june 2026. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Twinkle Leer, E-Commerce Trainer. The primary objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to modern retail operations and enhance trainees' understanding of e-commerce and customer service practices.

During the visit, the trainees observed various aspects of retail management, including product display, inventory control, billing processes, barcode scanning, stock management, and customer handling. The store staff explained how products are sourced, stored, and managed to ensure quality and timely availability for customers. They also demonstrated the use of digital billing software and inventory management systems, highlighting the importance of technology in the retail industry.

The trainees actively interacted with the store team and gained valuable insights into pricing strategies, customer satisfaction, order management, and the day-to-day responsibilities of retail professionals. The visit helped them relate classroom concepts to real workplace practices and improved their understanding of retail and e-commerce operations.
