Report on Gurpurab Celebration

The auspicious occasion of Gurpurab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh Guru, was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Don Bosco Tech, Jalandhar Centre today. The entire campus was filled with a spiritual and joyous atmosphere as students and staff came together to commemorate the teachings and legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The program began with a warm welcome and a short introduction by  Mr. Satinder Singh(ITES), one of the trainers at the center. He shared valuable insights about the life journey of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, highlighting his message of peace, equality, and selfless service to humanity. Mr. Singh beautifully explained the three main principles of Guru Sahib — Naam Japo, Kirat Karo, and Vand Chhako, meaning “remember God’s name, earn an honest living, and share with others.” His talk inspired everyone to reflect on these timeless teachings and apply them in daily life.

Following this, the students presented soulful shabads (devotional hymns) from Gurbani, which created a serene and devotional ambiance. The audience listened attentively, immersing themselves in the spiritual energy of the moment. Later, Ms. Twinkle Leer (E-Commerce Trainer) addressed the gathering and spoke about the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, emphasizing the importance of humility, truth, and compassion in one’s life.

Afterwards, all students and staff participated reverently in the Ardas (prayer) and received parshad. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by a small langar where tea and samosas were served to all attendees.

The entire celebration was a heartfelt tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of universal brotherhood and selfless service. It left everyone inspired to follow the path of love, equality, and devotion. Overall, the event was a spiritually uplifting and memorable experience for all present.
