On 12 August 2026, Don Bosco Tech – Chandigarh organized a field visit for the IT–Customer Care Executive (IT-CCE) students to the Synergy Skill Development Assessment Centre, Chandigarh. The main objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the assessment process and help them understand how a professional office functions.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the officials. The resource person introduced the organization and explained its role in conducting fair and transparent assessments for various skill development programmes. Students learned about candidate registration, document verification, digital attendance, theory examinations, practical assessments, viva-voce, evaluation, and certification.

During the visit, students toured different sections of the centre, including the registration desk, computer-based testing rooms, practical assessment areas, and office sections. They observed how staff members manage candidates, maintain records, use computers, prepare documents, and coordinate daily activities. Students also gained practical knowledge about professional office work, including proper communication, teamwork, time management, record keeping, customer handling, discipline, and maintaining confidentiality.

The officials demonstrated the use of technology such as online documentation, CCTV monitoring, computer-based testing, and electronic result management. Students actively participated in the interactive session and asked questions about assessment criteria, preparation methods, workplace behaviour, and communication skills. The visit gave students an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with real workplace practices. They understood the importance of punctuality, confidence, professional behaviour, technical knowledge, and effective communication.

Overall, the field visit was highly informative and beneficial. It enhanced the students’ practical knowledge, confidence, and understanding of assessment procedures and office operations. The experience motivated them to develop professional skills and prepare effectively for future employment opportunities.
