The reel creation activity was conducted to:

  • Capture authentic trainee transformation stories
  • Highlight the impact of skill training on employability, dignity of labour, and confidence
  • Encourage trainees to reflect on their personal growth and career journey

As part of the DB Tech @ 20 celebrations, Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda conducted a reel-making activity where trainees created short videos (30–40 seconds) sharing their life before and after joining DB Tech.

The reels focused on:

  • Initial challenges faced before skill training
  • Technical and soft skills gained during training
  • Increased confidence and professional identity after training

The activity was conducted at the training centre and workplace settings, using mobile devices with clear audio and visuals.

1. Priyanka Parimanik – Housekeeping Assistant

Priyanka shared her journey of transforming hard work into a structured career. She spoke about learning professional housekeeping skills, workplace discipline, and gaining confidence through DB Tech training.
Key message: DB Tech transformed her hard work into a sustainable career.

2. Hemanti Patra – Electrician (Domestic Solutions)

Hemanti highlighted her aspiration to work in the electrical field and how DB Tech provided her with safe electrical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork experience. She emphasized her growth in confidence and professional competence.
Key message: DB Tech transformed her skills into confidence and confidence into a career.

The reel creation activity at DB Tech Thakurmunda was impactful and aligned with the vision of DB Tech’s 20 years of service in youth empowerment. The reels clearly demonstrate how skill training leads to confidence, dignity of labour, and sustainable livelihoods.
