On 12th June 2026, Don Bosco Tech Society, Thakurmunda, successfully inaugurated the 2nd batch of the Learning to Earning 2026–27 Project under the Multi Skill Technician (Electrical) job role. The programme aims to equip rural youth with industry-relevant electrical skills and enhance their employability through quality skill training.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge, hope, and new beginnings. The inauguration was graced by the presence of Mr. Jagendra Nath Mohanta, Reporter of Sambad News Paper, as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy (Centre Head), Mr. Abhimanyu Behera (Domain Trainer), Mr. Satyajit Das, Ms. Ranjita Maji, and Mrs. Golapa Behera.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy highlighted the importance and growing demand for skilled electrical technicians in various sectors. He explained that the Multi Skill Technician (Electrical) course will provide trainees with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in electrical wiring, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and household appliances. He encouraged the trainees to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their learning journey.

Mr. Jagendra Nath Mohanta appreciated the efforts of Don Bosco Tech Society in empowering rural youth through skill development and encouraged the trainees to make the best use of the training opportunity to build successful careers.

Mr. Abhimanyu Behera provided an overview of the course structure and career opportunities available in the electrical sector. He emphasized the importance of electrical safety, practical learning, technical competence, and workplace readiness. He also highlighted the increasing demand for skilled technicians in industries, construction projects, maintenance services, and self-employment ventures.

The trainees were motivated to actively participate in both classroom and practical sessions to gain the maximum benefit from the programme. The session created enthusiasm and confidence among the newly enrolled trainees as they embarked on their skill development journey.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Ranjita Maji, Support Domain Trainer. She expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, staff members, and trainees for their presence and support. The inauguration ended on a positive note, marking the beginning of a promising journey towards skill development, employment, and sustainable livelihoods for the trainees.
