Guest Lecture of Batch - 3 Housekeeping Assistant Job Role, Skills to Succeed 25-26

On October 15, 2025, Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda Centre organized an inspiring guest lecture session for Batch 3 of the Housekeeping Assistant program under the Skills to Succeed initiative. The session aimed to motivate trainees and guide them toward career growth in the housekeeping field.
The session featured Mr. Goutam Mohanty, Project Coordinator at PRADAN NGO, Thakurmunda Block, as the guest speaker. The event began with a warm welcome by Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, the Domain Trainer, who introduced the guest and encouraged the trainees to actively participate in the session.
Mr. Mohanty shared valuable insights on the opportunities for career advancement and professional growth in housekeeping. He explained that the housekeeping sector offers a wide range of job opportunities in hotels, hospitals, corporate offices, and private residences.
He highlighted key roles such as Housekeeping Supervisor, who oversees daily operations, manages staff, ensures cleanliness, and maintains high standards of service and safety. Mr. Mohanty also spoke about the benefits of continuous learning in this field — including higher salaries, better job security, and professional growth.
During the interactive Q&A session, trainees eagerly asked questions, and Mr. Mohanty responded with practical advice and motivation. He emphasized that housekeeping is not just about cleaning but about developing essential skills such as time management, attention to detail, and customer service, which are valuable in many careers.
