On 19 August 2026, Don Bosco Tech Society, Thakurmunda Centre, inaugurated the third batch of the Learning to Earning 2026–27 programme for the Housekeeping Assistant job role. The programme aims to provide trainees with the required skills, knowledge, and practical exposure to improve their employment opportunities in the hospitality and service sector.

The inauguration programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the beginning of a new journey of learning and growth for the trainees.

The programme was graced by Mr. Rakesh Ranjan Das, Welfare Extension Officer (WEO), SC & ST Development Department, as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy, Centre Head; Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, Centre Manager; Mr. Satyajit Das, Domain Trainer; and Ms. Ranjita Maji, Support Domain Trainer. The guests interacted with the trainees and encouraged them to make the best use of the training opportunity.

In his address, Mr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy highlighted the importance of housekeeping in hotels, hospitals, offices, and other workplaces. He explained that proper housekeeping helps maintain cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and comfort. He encouraged the trainees to develop good work habits, discipline, and a positive attitude towards their profession.

Mr. Satyajit Das, Domain Trainer, spoke about the importance of practical learning and encouraged the trainees to actively participate in the training sessions. He motivated them to remain regular, disciplined, and committed throughout the training programme and to make full use of the learning opportunities provided.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Ranjita Maji, Support Domain Trainer. She thanked the guests, Centre Team, and trainees for their participation and wished the trainees success in their training and future careers.

The inauguration marked the beginning of a new learning journey for the trainees, with the hope that the training will help them develop the necessary skills and confidence to pursue suitable employment opportunities in the service sector.
